The Monadnock Region Rail Trail Collaborative (MRRTC) – www.MonadnockRailTrails.org has available an immediate Volunteer Opportunity involving several distinct, yet integrated areas:
- Interface with Board and subcommittees
- Be MRRTC’s media coordinator for our website, Facebook, and other media in conjunction with our web guru. Responsible for press releases; sending articles (written by self and others) to regional (Southwest NH) media, our donors/sponsors and to other helpful media.
- Quarterly MRRTC Eblasts – (Composed of BOD, other contributions, and the CC)
- MRRTC collateral – brochures, t-shirts, hats etc., requiring work with outside vendors as needed.
- Maintain donor/sponsor and supporter lists (this is already in part automated)
Position qualifications:
- Loves the Monadnock Region outdoors.
- A natural team player – enjoys corroborating with others inside and outside the MRRTC.
- Creative, self-starter with initiative to put good ideas into action or into media.
- Well-versed in social media, database creation/maintenance and marketing
- Ok with flexible work schedule and firm deadlines (estimated time commitment is less than 15 hours/month or approximately 4 hours/week)
- Good natured / good humored
- A person looking to make an impact with a truly regional Not-for-Profit with noble goals will love this opportunity.
Note: In lieu of monetary remuneration, this position has exceptional visibility. It is also possible for this to be a virtual job although a SW New Hampshire location is ideal. Our CC would be making a real difference while gaining life-long networking contacts working for an admirable cause.
